I'm a PhD candidate in Cultural Anthropology at Texas State University. My dissertation looks at how digital matchmaking platforms are reshaping marriage practices and moral decision-making in North India. My research combines ethnographic fieldwork in Uttar Pradesh with attention to the design of matrimonial platforms to examine how app interfaces, algorithms, and cultural values intersect to shape contemporary matchmaking processes.
